JOB DESCRIPTION:
Startr Co. is seeking a full-time Account Coordinator with a minimum of 1 year of professional PR experience working with lifestyle consumer clients. This person will handle several accounts within the division and should have solid media relations, a portfolio of past work and stellar writing skills.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Serving as the day-to-day client contact
- Creating and writing press materials including press releases, executive bios and more
- Researching key media contacts to pitch
- Compiling comprehensive monthly updates for each client
- Participating in company and client events, including trade shows
- Providing direction for sample and general mailings
- Responding to journalist and client queries in a timely manner
- Creating client presentations and wrap reports -- as needed
- Ensuring that client contacts are constantly updated
- Creating agendas and scheduling calls as needed
- Handling photo shoots, interviews, film shoots and remotes on behalf of clients
- Participating in cross-team projects
- Developing PR plans for clients on an ongoing basis
- Serving as the day-to-day client contact
- Overseeing and keeping track of client PR campaigns
- Proposing story ideas that educate and shape editorial opinions
- Reporting press opportunities to clients in a timely manner
- Creating client presentations and wrap reports
- Monitoring client press daily
- Researching, understanding and anticipating client needs
- Proactively meeting client expectations and needs
- Leading multiple accounts serving as a strategist
- Managing multiple projects
Educational and Skills Requirements:
- BA in Mass Communications, Public Relations or related field
- Strong writing, research and organizational skills
- Self-starter, able to work independently as well as in groups
- Strong ability to prioritize, problem solve and be resourceful
- Able to handle fast-paced PR environment
- Able to work well under pressure
- Takes direction well
- Attention to detail
- Able to handle any/all confidential information, issues and matters in a sensitive manner
- Ability to grasp ''big picture'' ideas and think independently
- Desire to grow and learn with the company
- Great interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Positive attitude is a must!
