Full Time Unpaid Internship
The purchasing intern will learn many aspects of the Purchasing and Business cycle at the Cardinals, in addition to supporting the Purchasing team with clerical and purchasing duties. The Purchasing Intern will work directly with the Director of Purchasing and Buyers to satisfy departmental goals and support purchasing needs of all Cardinals business departments.
Essential Functions of the Job:
• Support Directors and Buyers with some clerical duties
• Research products and vendors for Director and Buyers
• Learn and perform basic buying tasks
• Other duties to be assigned by the Director as needed.
Education
and Experience Required:
• Basic understand of business and purchasing principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Minimum junior level status and pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business or related major.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
• Senior level status and pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business or related major.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite specifically Word and Excel.
