Philadelphia based production company seeks a highly motivated, charismatic, detail-oriented associate producer for upcoming live television production. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years experience behind the scenes in television production as an associate producer or in a related capacity. Candidates should have excellent writing and thinking skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, working knowledge of television production including control room operations, strong communication skills, an ability to react quickly when unexpected situations arise, and sensibility for a preschool audience.
Associate Producer will work directly with talent and contribute to brainstorming ideas, create run-downs for live shows, book guests, communicate with producer(s) and executive producer(s) and manage day to day budgets and petty cash. In addition, Associate Producer will act as puppeteer during live show for preschool audience.
Job Responsibilities:
* Work closely with show host to brainstorm and pitch creative ideas for upcoming live shows
* Research and coordinate the booking of guests
* Perform as puppeteer during live show
* Create rundowns for daily live show
* Assist in the procurement of specialty props and wardrobe items
* Coordinate with web producer and/or graphics team to ensure assets are prepped for air
* Communicate upcoming show ideas to producers, executive producers and standards and practices department
* Coordinate with technical director to ensure technical needs are covered daily
* Coordinate with master control and technical staff on timings, count-backs and cues.
* Other duties as assigned
