Social Media Coordinator/ Marketing
Our ideal candidate will increase our social media presence with communication and interaction primarily for our active Facebook account; convert followers into lead sales to our music video pool website. The ideal candidate is someone that is extremely organized, very proactive, independent and reliable to meet deadlines consistently and in a timely manner with minimal supervision. Must track metrics and monitor relevant online conversations. Our SMO will create, launch, optimize, manage, and grow our business presence across various social media channels including heavy marketing with VJStreet's personalized Blog, Google +, Twitter, Vine, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Responsible for promotional sales via email marketing software VerticalResponse, & social media outlets/ management with Hootsuite
• Handle copy right material all social media accounts and platforms
• Develop content across social media channels, must be able to multitask between channels and various projects, includes but is not limited to blog posts, tweets, status update pins, photos and videos
• Heavy social media messaging for marketing, sales projects, and recruiting campaigns.
• Develop strategies to grow social media stats producing measure and ROI data reports
• Cultivate new social media communities for DJ/VJ clients and groups.
• Stay up-to-date with trending topics, news, and interest as it relates to our social media platforms
• Maintain cutting-edge awareness of industry trends and best practices.
• Monitor and manage conversations with our current and prospective clients, communities, and respond to social media comments and feedback.
• Minimize reputation and other negative risk exposure with our social media accounts.
• Support in recruiting efforts with DJ/VJ traffic to our website
Desired Skills and Abilities
• SMO must have general Music world knowledge and must be savvy of the social media realm
• Must be smart phone savvy utilizing mobile device and social media apps with standard capabilities
• Creative ability tools such as photo/video apps, and ability to create banners with knowledge in Final Cut Pro, In-Design (Photoshop) posting video clips with company logo and/or watermarks
• Strong skills in design programs and creativity
• Advertisements utilizing Social Media Ads and email
• Must be able to handle social media networking on a daily basis
• Knowledge of social media strategies, planning and goal settings.
• Strong writing skills and ability to follow brand and voice guidelines across different platforms. Possess high ethical blogging skills to properly represent our website.
• Ability to lead participants in the social media conversation
• Ability to compile, assess and explain social media metrics and measurements with accurate and up-to-date reports.
Education and Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing Communications highly preferred but not required
• Must have knowledge and experience in media marketing and promotions in a business and personal setting, 3-5+ years of experience.
• Knowledgeable with the Music /Entertainment industry highly preferred in marketing, advertising, sales, and promotions attracting DJ/VJ's.
