Job Purpose:
The primary job purpose is to produce videos and pictures to promote the Zac Brown Band and all Southern Ground Companies. The shooter will capture a wide range of material used for music videos, documentaries, social media, and promotional materials.
Short Description:
This position is creative intensive. Necessary skills include shooting and editing scripted and non-scripted videos from a wide realm of possibilities inside of Southern Ground. Must be proficient in Adobe Premiere, FCP, and have a strong understanding of shot composition, production, editing techniques, and also the technical aspect of the camera. Applicant understands the position is project driven and will do what it takes to get aforementioned projects completed in a timely manner. Furthermore, many of these projects will take place outside the office, whether it be for a three-day music video or on tour with Zac Brown Band, so the ability to perform duties on the road are paramount as well. Lastly, this position requires a self-motivated person with people skills who can develop projects to completion, whether it is solo or team oriented.
Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities:
• Southern Reel works closely as a team, requiring each person to perform multiple roles. First and foremost, candidate must be experienced and confident in the role of videographer. Additionally, candidate must be familiar and interested in the role of photographer and editor.
• From storyboarding to postproduction, this position is responsible for all aspects of content creation and execution.
• On tour, shooter is tasked with capturing Zac Brown Band's show and all elements of the tour, including but not limited to: pre-show meet & greet, behind the scenes/backstage, press requests for trades, management requests, social media content, radio liners, etc.
• In the office, position works closely with Project Manager to fulfill internal video and photo requests. Internal requests are product heavy, which include but not limited to: merchandise, knives, food and custom furniture.
Required Skills:
This position requires both creative and technical skills, as well as knowledge of the most up-to-date equipment and technology and the flexibility to change and work as video/director requires.
• Proficient with Adobe Suite with emphasis in Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom
• Knowledge of videography, photography, lighting in studio and on-location environments
• Experience with capturing high quality audio in a variety of settings
• Experience with Canon 5D Mark III, Canon c300, Canon c100, and GoPros
• Experience with hyper lapse/ time lapse videos a plus
• Must be project driven and possess excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to travel, on tour and for location shoots.
• Must be self-motivated with interpersonal skills in order to obtain information from clients when working independently on a project.
Experience and Education:
At least 3 years of on-the-job training, required.
A bachelor's degree, preferred areas of study include Digital Media Arts, Cinema, Television, or Radio.
