Details: The Manager, Strategic Analysis will provide important analytic support for the senior management team at SoundExchange. The Manager will research, compile, track and analyze industry data, maintain key internal data, and perform quantitative analyses relevant to SoundExchange’s business and operations. The successful candidate will have an extensive background and experience working with and analyzing data, will have worked in a strategy role, and ideally have music industry experience. They will be an effective communicator, able to interpret and present complex data in an understandable fashion to non-technical executives, bring new and unique perspectives to the interpretation and presentation of information. The Manager will play a key role in developing strategies for SoundExchange’s future.

Responsibilities
•Research, gather, organize and analyze industry data; prepare briefings for management;
•Gather and format internal data for management reporting;
•Maintain an archive of key internal data, as the “record of source” for historical data;
•Undertake key trending and modeling exercises;
•Perform ad hoc analyses as directed by senior staff;
•Prepare background information for executive staff in preparation for meetings;
•Assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations for senior staff;
•Design efficient methods and processes for the collection, archiving and dissemination of data;
•Suggest and initiate data analysis exercises.

Requirements
•BA or BS; minimum 5-7 years’ work experience, preferably in the music or closely related industries;
•Graduate degree in business or statistics a plus;
•Understanding of key concepts related to music and rights management;
•Excellent communication and presentation skills, a clean & clear style;
•Exceptional computer and data analysis skills:
1.working with databases and reporting tools
2.Oracle BI, some SQL a plus, willing to learn
3.expert-level Excel skills required
4.MS Office Suite skills, especially PowerPoint
