SUMMARY
Want to do something that matters with your career? SoulPancake is looking for a Creative Associate to work closely with our sales and creative teams to generate and present break-through, insight-driven ideas and creative strategies that will lead to successful video content and inventive social campaigns. The Creative Associate will be responsible for ideating concepts, writing copy, developing and supervising the development of pitch decks, assisting with managing client relationships, and supporting special projects for a range of clients. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can juggle multiple projects and work on every aspect of them, from concept ideation through development and into execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Creative Associate will:
• Participate in client RFP/creative calls with the sales and creative teams.
• Conduct research on client needs, target audience, past campaigns and brand tone/voice to create internal one-sheets and primers about each client.
• Collate ideas from larger team brainstorms and flesh out the best ideas.
• Work with Head of Creative to brainstorm and develop original content and campaign ideas.
• Assist the Head of Creative with building out campaign strategy.
• Ensure that all creative content and copy is strategically aligned with brand mission, style, tone, and guidelines.
• Write clear, persuasive, original copy for pitch packets.
• Amend and revise creative based on feedback from Head of Creative and clients.
• Create case studies about successful content and campaign initiatives.
• Share examples of effective branded content campaigns with the larger SoulPancake team.
• Facilitate interoffice communication on creative projects with other departments, including Digital, Sales, Marketing and Production.
• Help coordinate and schedule internal and external meetings for the Creative department.
• Support other duties and special projects, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Minimum of 3 years experience in writing or development role.
• Hands-on creative or ad agency or brand/client experience a plus.
• Natural storyteller who can think both strategically and creatively.
• Solid understanding of video production and branded content industry.
• Strong interest and familiarity with online video, social influencers and the larger online entertainment ecosystem, specifically social media platforms.
• Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
• Stellar portfolio that showcases sound creative development, strategic insight and a clear taste and aesthetic.
• Strong proficiency in the Microsoft, Google and Adobe product suites.
• Self-starter with a fun, positive, entrepreneurial attitude.
