Position is responsible for managing production services driven by client requirements. Position will liaise directly with clients to gather requirements and oversee the various steps needed to prepare content for servicing such as: video mastering, asset retrieval, editing, localization, encoding, transcoding & delivery. Position will oversee above mentioned process for wide range of content types: TV Series/MFTs, Digital, Mobile, Added Value, Trailer & EPKs. Position will maintain communication between internal departments such as sales/marketing/servicing/legal/production, third party vendors located domestically and internationally, and third party clients to ensure that servicing requirements are fulfilled. Manager is responsible for defining Studio Standard for Mastering Specs and supplemental materials required and will work with legal to incorporate such spec into contracts. Position produces regular performance metrics and activity reports, assesses performance and develops and implements corrective processes as required to ensure highest quality, lowest cost delivery within contractual or standard practice performance standards to client satisfaction.
Gather requirements and manage different manufacturing processes (video & audio mastering, foreign language dubbing & subtitling, editing, file encoding, & digital delivery) to ensure servicing per client needs; including creating purchase orders, updating databases, and providing status information to clients and internal departments
Provide research analysis including availability, timeline, and costs to internal clients for budget and sales planning
Manage internal and external vendors to meet pre-established budgets and timelines, as well as participating in vendor cost negotiations
Communicate estimated completion dates, delays, and issues to internal clients
Attend and participate in regular status and production meetings with internal staff and clients
Knowledge of:
Creation & delivery of video, audio and digital materials. Industry developments (clients, competitors, technology) by reading trade press, SPE news clippings, discussions with internal and external clients
Skill In:
General computer applications; such as Microsoft Office
Ability To:
Make decisions with limited supervisor input and successfully manage deadlines. Organize data from variety of sources and communicate information in a clear, professional manner. Running Reports from databases for analysis of dept activity
Experience Required:
3 – 4 years of project management and/or video servicing experience
Post production house or studio experience is highly desired
High School Diploma required, and a College bachelor's degree is a plus
