This is a Full Time Job
1. ARTWORK/STILLS: Managing all artwork from the producers as part of delivery when we acquire a film. Keeping an accurate log of all artwork, its approval status and its location. Communicating with acquisitions department, ensuring timely delivery of artwork to SPC. This includes all electronic high-resolution artwork. Choosing color art with the co-presidents for our key sets, publicists for exclusive sets. Gaining approval from co-presidents for exclusive shots and gaining talent approval for special images. Interacting with our advertising agency in order for them to create the main advertising campaign. Partnering with various labs, monitoring and handling any issues regarding quality control of the images, verifying and processing all lab bills. Returning any material that is on loan and also distributing the material to other sources like home video and international departments. Occasional editing, retouching and color correction of photography.
2. TELEVISION CLIPS/ FEATURETTES: Choose TV Clips with the co-presidents and supervise the transfer onto a master. This may require a few viewings of the film on DVD to get a feel how certain films play on the screen. Pulling exclusive clips for major national television shows and online outlets. Uploading all approved materials onto EPK TV SPOTS: Also responsible for trafficking all television spots to make sure that the correct spot runs at the correct time. Also responsible for processing any bills associated with creating clips, lab bills or TV spot costs. FEATURETTES: Oversee the any behind the scenes material, possibly the creation of the featurette and/or electronic press kit featuring snippets of the talents, b-roll or any other special visual materials.
3. GENERAL PRESS KIT: Making sure all materials for the press kit have been received from producers in a timely manner. Editing and reformatting press kit material in company format. Hiring and facilitating the creation of press kits from scratch, in some cases. Ensuring that all press are aware of the press kit's availability on the press kit.
4. FILM FESTIVAL DELIVERY: Service all film festivals with whatever publicity materials that they might need including catalogue photos. Selecting film festival sets with the co-presidents and also choosing select TV clips for press attending the festivals. Also dealing with special forms associated with press materials for film festivals.
5. WEBSITE: Making sure that our website is updated with the proper high resolution art work for the press as well as having our coming soon section updated with the latest information. Must coordinate with our web designer as well our online analyst at SPC.
6. ASSISTING THE DEPARTMENT WITH SPECIAL PROJECTS AS NEEDED: There may be special projects like covering a screening, helping out with a premiere, helping with a mailing, helping with awards season or other special projects that may come up during the year.
