Extreme Music is an international production / library music business that forms part of Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Extreme Music has operations in Berlin, Sydney, New York and Los Angeles and is headquartered in London.
The department handles all aspects of client liaison from pitching of the catalogue to potential users, developing the client-base, licensing all client music use; participation in Extreme's music supervision service and ensuring Extreme maintain its strong brand profile in the market place.
Position Summary
The Account Executive's focus should be to continue to develop Extreme's position in the US market, identifying potential new clients and music users and maintain existing client base, who will consistently utilize the Extreme Libraries, to maximize revenue and increase market share in line with given targets.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, intelligent, energetic, self motivated and a team player.
Responsibilities
• Maintaining and increasing revenue from allocated client-base as well as researching new potential clients;
• Managing and expanding upon existing relationships and continuously identify new business, and regularly prospect through warm lead generation;
• Maintain contact with existing clients, and establish new relationships by telephone contact, in-person visits and networking events;
• Regular review of contacts and tracking clients, developing profile and educating potential users of new formats and means of accessing the catalogue;
• Being knowledgeable of the catalogue including upcoming releases and projects, performing music searches/building playlists;
• Represent Extreme nationally at client events and conferences;
• Review trade periodicals and directories for leads, and set up new client profiles in the database;
• Assist with the planning, coordinating and execution of client events;
• Provide regular feedback to management.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Communications or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a sales and/or marketing capacity.
• Experience in the music industry preferred.
• Familiarity with music genres.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills required.
• Must be capable of balancing between fulfilling customer needs and meeting company expectations and goals.
• Ability to take initiative, set personal goals and work autonomously.
• Computer literacy.
