Full Time Job
The Director, Digital Sales is responsible for managing the digital content business for Sony Music Entertainment with select digital and subscription partners.
Responsibilities:
• This role will handle relationships with key subscription services and will direct EPIC overall business at the partner level
• Manage accounts through relationship cultivation in an effort to grow each account’s business, maximize revenue and exposure for artists.
• Develop market expertise through continuous focus on and knowledge of the competitive and market environment
• Interpret data to form actionable intelligence that helps shape and sustain campaigns
• Create compelling pitches for artists to excite and engage partners
• Drive new business initiatives, concepts and products for the Epic brand
• Propose and execute marketing and platform campaigns with timely featured positioning for Epic’s artists, new & catalog releases, and other strategic initiatives
• Seamlessly blend partnerships with artists and brands to deliver optimal project results
• Must have a background in building fan focused plans tied to subscription platforms.
• Focus on promotion and microsite set up to drive fans to streaming partners
• Cultivate strong relationship across multiple accounts, including content/editorial, product marketing, sponsorship, executive levels, and related 3rd party service providers
• Work closely with research and analytics teams on market trends, gain insights, identifying opportunities, and understanding consumer behavior on streaming platforms
• Travel with artists to partner showcases, sessions and industry activities
• Lead frequent partner calls and business presentations with the accounts
• Regularly communicate the status of artist campaigns, new initiatives, and other account activity to the labels and other teams
• Ability to solve operations, reporting, technology, and business issues to ensure efficiency
Qualifications:
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Impactful presentational skills to convey information and results clearly
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and balance priorities
• Excellent time-management, organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of app creation and GIF’s/stickers
• Ability to take broad campaign concepts and translate into partner specific initiatives that result in sales/streams and impressions
• Ability to understand operations, delivery and technology issues.
• 3-5 years prior experience at a digital content services company or digital services provider
• Demonstrated experience in subscription services
• Prior experience in account/client management, digital content sales and/or digital marketing
• Streaming Activity Analytics/Reporting/Strategic Analysis experience required
• Working knowledge of the music industry, and a passionate commitment to music and artists
• Able to attend artist shows and partner events
• Proven record of sales and revenue growth
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Proficiency in Keynote is preferred
