The Licensing and Income Tracking departments at Sony/ATV Music Publishing are seeking to fill the position of Licensing and Income Tracking Assistant.
The Licensing & Income Tracking Assistant will have the following responsibilities:
• Respond to general license request inquires
• Upload mechanical license files and maintain license data in internal publishing system
• Assist with custom mechanical licensing
• Research song info and when necessary seek approval from writers with licensing restrictions
• Facilitate iTunes and other DSP take-down notices
• Prepare licenses and various documents for document imaging system
• Perform various office tasks such as copying, scanning, mailing, etc.
• Assist Licensing and Income Tracking departments with various projects
A qualified candidate must possess the following skills:
• Working knowledge of music licensing and licensing rights
• Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude while working with multiple departments and outside contacts
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while prioritizing and meeting various deadlines
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Results driven
• Strong analytical ability
• High proficiency of various computer applications such as MS Excel, MS Access, with the ability to quickly learn programs
• Minimum of one year of music publishing or equivalent industry experience required
