Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC is seeking to fill the position of Global Copyright Coordinator, in the Global Copyright Department. The preferred candidate will have at least one year of office administration experience, preferably from within the music industry. The Coordinator will be working in Global Copyright Administration (GCA) and responsible for data maintenance and entry for certain Sony/ATV affiliate offices.
The Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:
-Day to day entry and maintenance of International Sony/ATV affiliate song/client data.
-Working on a variety of GCA territories, with involvement in International Film/TV and various Production/Library Music deals.
-Creation of client accounts and songs for multiple affiliate offices; ensuring they are registration-ready, while observing local territory rules.
-Working closely with and taking direction from the senior team, working toward direct contact with the affiliates themselves in time.
-Assisting with special GCA-wide projects including voluminous deliveries, new catalogues and large-scale amendment projects.
-Systematic electronic filing of reports, deliveries, queries, etc.
A qualified candidate must possess the following skills:
-Strong analytical abilities.
-Taking initiative but remaining comfortable with asking questions.
-Detail-oriented, highly-organized and able to take and apply notes/training documents while learning/working.
-Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
-Flexible, adaptable, multi-tasker.
-Ability to prioritise assignments and communicate with the team leader on a regular basis.
-Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy while handling multiple varied tasks.
-Ability to set own goals, while working within departmental goals/deadlines (such as royalty close-out schedules).
-Familiarity with common office software (Excel, Outlook/Email, Word).
-Knowledge and experience of music publishing administration, if possible.
