The Licensing and Income Tracking departments at Sony/ATV Music Publishing are seeking to fill the position of Licensing and Income Tracking Assistant.
The Licensing & Income Tracking Assistant will have the following responsibilities:
*Respond to license requests and general licensing inquires
*Research and verify song and song share information
*Seek writer approval when necessary for various license requests
*Upload and maintain song/album charting, sales, and streaming data in internal publishing system
*Upload and maintain mechanical license data in internal publishing system
*Facilitate iTunes and other DSP take-down notices
*Perform various office tasks such as copying, scanning, mailing, etc.
*Assist Licensing and Income Tracking departments with various projects
A qualified candidate must possess the following skills:
*Working knowledge of music licensing and licensing rights
*Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude while working with multiple departments and outside contacts
*Ability to manage multiple tasks while prioritizing and meeting various deadlines
*Highly organized and detail oriented
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Results driven
*Strong analytical ability
*High proficiency of various computer applications such as MS Excel, MS Access, with the ability to quickly learn programs
*Minimum of one year of music publishing or equivalent industry experience required
