Sony/ATV Music Publishing, a division of Sony Corporation of America, has an immediate opening for a full time Accounting Assistant.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Enter daily cash receipts into the royalty system and handle daily cash deposits with the bank
*Coordinate with royalty department to ensure proper identification and coding of cash receipts
*Record month end accounting journal entries for cash receipts and revenue/expense items
*Assist as needed on ad hoc projects or requests
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
*Understanding of basic accounting concepts (Accounting degree preferred but not required)
*Prior accounting experience and experience with MS Navision a plus
*Proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
*Highly organized and detail oriented
*Ability to prioritize and complete all tasks in the allotted time frame
*Flexible and able to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines
*Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy while handling multiple tasks
*Ability to manage and prioritize a large volume of work
*Good communication skills and the ability to work constructively with different personalities
