About you:
You have a solid background in music PR and want to get creative with it, conceptualizing and executing innovative campaigns that combine music + brands + digital platforms. You have strong media relationships and a track record securing excellent coverage,
specifically online. You're a creative thinker with outstanding communication and organizational skills. You might also share our love of cat gifs.
The role is:
A hybrid PR + marketing position with the opportunity to be extremely creative with your campaigns. You'll be working directly with clients and our internal team, conceptualizing the digital PR/marketing plan, and putting the plan into action securing media coverage,
and partnering with digital platforms and brands.
Requirements:
• Experience strategizing and executing PR campaigns; proven track record securing press coverage for clients, and the ability to produce a comprehensive report of placements
• Strong existing relationships with writers and outlets, including top tier music and lifestyle publishers as well as music and culture blogs (from Hype Machine blogs to regional outlets)
• Experience doing regional press and securing media coverage/opportunities (sessions/interviews) in various markets
• Candidates should be proactive, organized, detail-oriented and resourceful
• Must be creative (think: alternative music discovery)
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task/work on multiple projects at once
• Must be an excellent writer and communicator
Bonus Qualifications:
• An understanding of current digital platforms (ie: Shazam, Bandsintown, Spotify, etc.) and how to incorporate them into a campaign
• Experience with brand partners and influencer marketing
• Experience executing playlisting campaigns
Responsibilities:
• Strategizing and executing digital PR/marketing campaigns for several projects at once
• Pitching for and securing editorial coverage across a variety of outlets
• Conceptualizing and executing creative ideas with digital platform partners and apps
• Securing brand partnerships and devising innovative and creative promotions
• Communicating regularly with clients, media partners and internal team
• Working closely with Social Media Managers, and other team members, to create a comprehensive digital campaign for each client
