Snail Games USA has a great opportunity for a Community Manager looking for a creative and innovative environment to apply their skills! This is a unique opportunity to help manage the communities of existing and future titles from our parent company, Suzhou Snail Electronic Company (Snail Game). Game industry/community experience is required, and your knowledge and passion for the video game market should be clear and evident. You must be able to relate to, communicate, and manage ''gamers'' on their own level.

The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operational activities surrounding the reporting and administering of our online communities, as well as fostering community engagement and acquisition programs across a variety of online and social media platforms (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.) Their duties include the development of compelling yet subtle messaging strategies and community initiatives that provide customers with incentives and encourage purchases. The content, tone and uniformity of this messaging are instrumental in keeping the end user customer engaged and in maximizing Snail Game revenues. In-depth knowledge of the massively multiplayer online gaming community and experience in dealing with online communities are key success factors for this position.

Responsibilities:

* Concurrently develop robust online communities for several titles.
* Work with Marketing, Project Managers, and Production teams to execute an effective community strategy roll-out
* Updating and monitoring of official websites and various community & social media channels (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter)
* Moderating live discussions & message boards, social media channels
* Collaborating to define and subsequently run online events
* Assist with a vibrant pre and post-ship website that features franchise content, community-generated content, forum discussions, downloads, and other interactions.
* Helps develop community assets such as product updates, background information, game tips and tricks.
* Maintains consistent presence and promotes user-friendly environment on community message boards and global chat channels
* Drafts and distributes community reports including community reaction, metrics, and research.
* Helps conduct private and public tests to gather community feedback that will help improve final product quality.
* Assists with the company's involvement in trade shows, exhibitions, and other events.

Skills Required:

* 3+ years massively multiplayer community experience or social networking community experience required
* Knowledgeable on latest technologies and techniques used in building and maintaining successful gaming communities, as well as social networks.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills
* Scheduling flexibility including weekend and holiday hours
* Must be a team player able to work with many groups and projects simultaneously
* Prior experience in the administration and/or moderation of an online message board
* Able to coordinate efforts across multiple locations simultaneously.

For Additional Brownie Points:

* Proficiency with Photoshop, video editing, or other media creation tools
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite
* Web production experience.
* Passion for gaming with a focus on online gaming and/or online communities. Massively multiplayer gaming experience is a plus.
* Some experience in online journalism, online marketing, or equivalent- a voice to interact with community in a meaningful way
