Qualified candidate must possess prior accounts payable experience and excellent communication/reading skills. The position will involve bookkeeping and administrative work relating to all aspects of Production Accounting. This unique position combines traditional accounting and industry related knowledge.
Duties and Responsibilities - but not limited to
• Ability to quickly grasp company policies and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to handle vendors calls professionally, including communicating respectfully to staff and willing to cross train within the department
• Verify the accuracy of A/P batch output to insure correct coding of vendor, line #s, general ledger account, invoice amount, and matching invoices to approved POs
• Accounting software experience, know the difference of credits / debits, year-end 1099 processing, etc
• Filing knowledge to be able to maintain accounts payable records
• Heavy A/P data entry; processing roughly around 800 checks and 1,000 invoices per week.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
Qualifications
• Ideally 1 plus year of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
• At least 2 year of meaningful office experience
• Experience in setting up new policies/procedures
• Good working knowledge of Internal controls within A/P
• Must be proficient using 10-key adding machine by touch
• Intermediate to Advanced level Excel & Word; computer literate
Desired
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, or Business field
• Previous Productions Finance experience in TV/Film Industry
• Strong time management skills; ability to handle multiply projects simultaneously in a fast-pasted environment and detail oriented
• Must be able to prioritize evolving tasks, problems & issues, and meet deadlines
