Siren Lab is a Special Effects company that is lead by an artist who has worked on commercials, music videos, and movies for major brands, musicians and directors. Some of the people we've done work for include: Pepsi, Macy's, L'Oreal, Alicia Keyes, and Spike Lee among many others.
We are opening our first production office in Venice, California and need someone to come on board ASAP who can create order out of chaos in every single way.
The ideal candidate for this job is someone who is interested in the high end world of special effects and would one day like to play an influential role within such a company. This is a role that will allow you to learn the in's and outs of the business via paying your dues on the administrative side. In this posting you will find a flavor of the things that will be expected of you on a day to day basis.
1. Organize and catalog digital assets-- we'll hand you an external hard drive and ask you to look at all the video files on it and put them into a spreadsheet so we know what's on the hard drive and where it is.
2. Client Services-- Greet clients, get them water, you know... be social-able.
3. Find elements-- we'll need you to be able to figure out how to work with stock video sites in order to source video clips that we might need to make a shot look better.
4. Calendar-- up to date with all appointments (personal & business)
5. Personal errands-- pick up dry cleaning, random errands.
6. Competitive research-- use the internet to figure stuff out and make lists.
In exchange for working hard and doing these tasks and others we have not thought about yet you will be rewarded with an amazing learning experience and a chance for real advancement in the industry.
Right now our office is under construction so the job will be part time until we are fully up and running with clients coming in the door. That means expect a half day every day for the first 6-12 weeks.
