Silver Pictures Entertainment, a motion picture and television development and production company located in Santa Monica, CA, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager / Assistant Controller who will coordinate and manage key financial processes, including month end close, treasury needs and cash flow forecasting, financial planning, reporting and budgeting. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the day-to-day general ledger accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP and internal controls.
• Responsible for the preparation, coordination, review and analysis of the management reporting package for month-end.
• Assist preparation of rolling forecasts, annual budgets and multi-year plans.
• Prepare and review participation statements for various talent deals to validate contractual and financial accuracy and compliance.
• Review production accounting data for active projects.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents and schedules.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Other duties and special projects, including research, ad-hoc analyses as required.
Education / Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years Accounting / Finance experience
• Experience working with multiple business units
• Entertainment industry experience
Skills / Abilities:
• Excellent Excel skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment
• Detail oriented and well organized
• Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
