Position Summary:
Direct and primary responsibility for the creation of financial reporting and other key financial deliverables for the entertainment company's film production and sales business. Primary tasks include monthly financial closes and reporting, forecasting and budgeting and working with the key operational decision makers and senior executives to properly reflect business activities in all financial deliverables.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create all aspects of monthly management reporting for local executives and strategic partner's management team, overseeing the production of commercially astute management information and analysis to support the business
Tax and statutory accounts
Financial planning, budgeting and analysis including formal quarterly reforecasts and annual three year plan including the application of solid commercial understanding to business forecasting
Maintain integrity and clarity between financial reporting and commercial obligations in order to support business decision making
Make recommendations to encourage the continuous improvement of financial performance and implementing relevant policies within the business
Contribute to the implementation of new accounting system
Oversee cash forecasting and treasury function through corporate funding process
Act as the primary contact with external advisors including company's auditors
Qualifications:
CPA with minimum of 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience
Experience in accounting for film production at a studio and/or independent production company required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Self-motivated and highly organized with strong project management skills and drive to meet organizational and departmental objectives
Excellent Excel and modeling skills
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and with tight and multiple deadlines
Attention to detail in all areas of work.
