Intern in the Awards area of Showtime's Corporate Communications/PR department:
• PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS: assist with 200+ Emmy entries for hit shows like acclaimed award-winning HOMELAND, MASTERS OF SEX, and RAY DONOVAN - complete online entry forms, gather contact info for entrants, collect head shots for 80+ submitted actors, write character storylines for submitted guest actors.
• DIRECTORS GUILD OF AMERICA (DGA): travel & logistics for nominees attending Los Angeles ceremony; collect and submit ceremony materials.
• WRITERS GUILD OF AMERICA (WGA): travel & logistics for nominees attending Los Angeles ceremony; collect and submit ceremony materials.
• GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS: travel & logistics for nominees attending Los Angeles ceremony; collect and submit ceremony materials.
• NAACP IMAGE AWARDS: travel & logistics for nominees attending Los Angeles ceremony; collect and submit ceremony materials.
• PRISM AWARD: complete entry packet for each submission and submit to Prism organization.
• TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL: assist with travel & logistics for filmmakers and producers attending festival; collect and submit press materials.
• Maintain awards calendar, producer info pages, scene summaries for each episode, press releases, document listing episode premiere dates, running times and episode titles.
• Daily interactions will include correspondence with other SHO employees, talent reps/publicists' offices, and various guild staff members.
START DATE: Monday, January 26, 2014 (flexible)
END DATE: Friday, May 15, 2015 (flexible)
REQUIREMENT:
3 full days per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
Superior computer skills; Professional phone manner; Very strong written and oral communication skills; Strong interest in awards and television PR; Must have a strong interest in Showtime original programming; Prior experience: minimum of two (2) internships. Must be entering junior or senior year. $10 per hour.
