Full Time Unpaid Internship
Showtime Networks, Inc. Summer Internship Program is designed to provide exposure to the cable/entertainment industry. We are looking for college students who are eager to learn and have a passion for pursing a career in the entertainment arena.
The intern will be trained in Post-Production, Domestic & International SVOD/EST, Domestic & International Television, Boradcast Operations, Hotel PPV, Airlines, Promotional & Marketing Materials, International DVD Distribution, Free TV Guidelines.
The intern will be involved and responsible, but not limited to, the following projects
*Learn Showtime's post production process from start to finish, and be involved with managing audio and video master elements. They will also participate in the creation of Free TV versions of Showtime series for worldwide usage.
*Converting traditional tape media into digital formats and assist in the digital distribution for all New Media outlets (i.e. iTunes, Amazon, Sony, etc.)
*Creating/Clearing promotional and marketing materials (including images, photography, promos and bonus features) and merchandising for worldwide distribution.
*Assist in the creation and approval menus, audio & subtitle files, value added material and check discs for International DVD releases.
*Assist in fulfilling contractual worldwide deliveries to International and Domestic distributors.
*Sit in on operational meetings, and watch projects unfold from beginning to end.
*Potential visits to outside partners and vendors in order to educate on entire post-production and distribution processes.
The internship program will run for eight weeks, beginning on June 8th and ending on July 31st.
Students will work
9a-6p, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
Current undergraduate student (rising junior or above)
Strong Interest in the Cable/Entertainment Industry
2.50 GPA or above
Submission of a cover letter - required
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work and prioritize work assignments
Able to provide administrative support as needed
Prior internship experience in a related field, a plus
