Rapidly expanding, award-winning ( Emmy, Peabody, RealScreen ) television, documentary and media production company, rep'd by WME, is looking for coordinator to start ASAP to support development division in both a creative and administrative capacity. Candidate should have 2-5 years previous experience in television production and development (unscripted preferable,) be a great and fast writer with proven skills, have meticulous organizational, research and communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast paced environment. Candidates should be highly familiarized with different genres of broadcast and digital content and above all, network/ cable formats and industry trends. Ideal candidate needs the ability to work both independently as well as be part of a team. We are a highly inventive and highly regarded company dedicated to A+/blue-chip content, programs, ''event series'' and intelligent formats - as well as a social good portfolio of projects. This is a great opportunity for a talented go-getter who is innovative, problem-solving, proactive and hard working.
Responsibilities include:
• Generating and researching ideas, creating write-ups, editing write-ups, developing pitch materials.
• Tracking a large number of development projects from concept to pitch phase.
• Overseeing multiple databases of slates, write-ups, pitches, talent and meetings.
• Coordinating meetings, contacts and follow up action items.
• Management of development interns.
• Following news, culture, trending social topics and television network updates.
• Casting new talent, performing Skype interviews and pulling selects.
• Working closely with graphics and post production department for fast turn-around development materials.
This is initially a 3 month trial contract with the intent to extend. Interviews will take place in New York week of June 22nd.
