Full Time Job
Position supports two executives from two vital areas of Shine America. In general, the candidate will balance the needs of the executives. Responsibilities to both executives include but are not limited to word processing, answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, and preparing and submitting expense reports. The areas the executives oversee are active and multi-faceted providing an opportunity to learn two critical industry functions from one desk. Below is the overview for each individual set of needs. The winning candidate will be a ''go-getter'' interested in jumping into two very rewarding areas.
Key responsibilities will include:
Research
Pull ratings & consumer research reports as needed
Assist with dissemination of various ratings grids and tracks
Assist with updating annual / bi-annual network audience profiles
Help track ratings performance of Shine and key competitive networks/shows
Maintain and update ratings databases
Assist with ad-hoc ratings/research requests
Build and maintain strong relationship with other Shine assistants to ensure highest level of efficiency and communication across teams
Maintain various documents for meetings and ensure IT/conference rooms are prepared
Prepare and edit PowerPoint presentations/other docs
Marketing
Assist in maintaining marketing strategy and planning calendars for each property
Create/maintain public folders for all marketing assets and style guides, working with VP, Marketing to ensure that all assets are approved, up to date and sharable
Assist in planning, execution and reporting of all marketing activities including Brand Development, Mass Media Campaigns, Grassroots and Consumer/Trade Events
Oversee fulfillment of contests, sweepstakes and blogger outreach
Keep marketing materials and contact information up-to-date
Requirements:
A college graduate with a 4 year degree preferred
Ability to learn various TV research software
1 to 2 years as assistant, coordinator or analytical role at TV studio, cable or broadcast network is preferred
Curiosity for TV research space is valued
Passion/strong interest in the business is required
Exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills
Detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy is required
Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (including building presentations from scratch)
Proactive, results oriented and client focused problem solver
Team player with a can do attitude
Exceptional communication skills (listening, verbal, written)
Thrives and works well under pressure and routinely meets and exceeds deadlines
