Sharp Entertainment, a New York-based reality TV Production Company with over a decade of hit programs across numerous cable networks, seeks a Production Accountant.
Responsibilities
• Create, update and reconcile production cost reports
• Liaise between Production Managers and Production Accounting staff in an effort to effectively track and report on all production related costs
• Review and approve coding of all production related costs
• Oversee the production insurance process across all shows
• Secure Production and E & O Insurance and declare shows to Workers Compensation
• Work closely with Production Management and Insurance Brokers for the purpose of creating and implementing production safety protocols and clearing hazardous activities
• Process claims
• Maintain insurance files
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree
Required Experience
• 3-5 years of progressive experience
• Prior television industry experience preferred
• Proficiency in Production Accounting software and Excel
Required Skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve in a very fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms and proficient with MS Office suite
