Full Time Job
Seventh Art Releasing, a boutique independent distribution company specializing in documentaries, is looking for a distribution coordinator.
This is an entry level position where we will train the right person to handle many different aspects of distributing our films. Some of the areas of focus will be film booking, coordination, PR and social media as well as assisting our office with other management duties. Recent graduates with an interest in distributing independent film should apply (this is not a production position). We are looking for a creative, smart, proactive person with an interest in independent film (ideally with a love and knowledge of documentaries), at least some office experience, a degree. The ideal person will also have a good sense of humor, be quick on their feet, and be open to learning.
Requirements:
• College degree.
• Desire learn, to fully grasp the work at hand, and do it well.
• Some experience in the film world preferred but not required.
• Understanding and ease of use in social media.
• Well-versed in the internet.
• Good on the phone.
• A full grasp of Mac & PC computers, Microsoft Office. Basic knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator a plus. Basic knowledge of Filemaker Pro a plus. Basic knowledge of Quickbooks also helpful.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to focus and get the job at hand accomplished.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
