MOTION GRAPHICS COORDINATOR
We are seeking an experienced Motion Graphics Coordinator for a busy film marketing company to coordinate motion graphics for theatrical trailers and television spots.
This is a fast moving position that requires someone who is proactive, creative and able to exercise good judgment and initiative. You must have excellent organizational skills, work well in a hands-on environment, and effectively manage the workflow of an internal production design team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Facilitate communications about creative direction from Producers to the designers/animators
• Oversee finishing, adhering to strict technical specifications
• Prioritizing deadlines and managing schedules and calendars of graphics jobs for graphics department
• Meeting and coordinating with production teams to understand the scope, nature and duration of all graphics projects
• Preparing and completing graphics work orders on in-house system
• Locating and providing reference links, files and other resources to production
• Maintain workflow efficiency. Identify areas in need of improvement and propose solutions
MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to remember many minute details and maintain quality control and consistency on projects
• Solution oriented
• Mac Proficient including use of Mac Mail, iCal, Microsoft Excel and Word
• Thorough knowledge of finishing and processes
• Self-motivated and driven
• Levelheaded, calm and function well under stress
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Prior experience as a graphics coordinator in the film trailer industry
• Must know basics of AfterEffects, Photoshop and Illustrator
• College degree in related field preferred - Art, Design, Marketing, Communications
• Must have a thorough knowledge of finishing and processes
• Must be willing to work overtime
