Joining us at headquarters in Knoxville, Tennessee, this rock star will create content MILLIONS see each day on-air as well as develop promos for online platforms like Snapchat, Facebook, Boomerang, and more.

THE OPPORTUNITY
• Conceive, write, and produce on-air promotion and marketing materials in support of programming priorities for HGTV, DIY Network & Great American Country (GAC).
• Directly oversee and manage completion of content, including post-production, versioning, tagging and final delivery.
• Develop multiple versions of marketing materials so spots can be used across various outlets including on-channel, off-channel and digital.
• Create and develop short-form spots for social media and help adapt marketing materials and other assets into digital campaigns.
• Develop programming sizzles and presentations for various departments and brand events.
• Assist during field production of shoots with on-air talent and gathering other footage as needed.
• Oversee edit sessions, sound design, and music production.
• Collaborate closely with graphic designers helping to develop a look for promotional spots and to maximize their impact.
• Direct and supervise voice-over sessions for promotional needs.
• Work in coordination with Ad Sales, Marketing, Affiliate, Online, and Social Media team on brand related projects.

Although we try to stick to the 9-5 work schedule, sometimes our work extends into evenings, holidays and there may be a little travel to foreign countries occasionally (Bali for a few days?! Sign me up right?!). Don't worry though, one of our core values is Work/Life Balance and we stick to it. We're definitely flexible and get that work is only one part of your life.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Has 3 years' experience in On Air Promotion/Marketing; Bachelor's Degree in broadcast, journalism or related field preferred
• Has worked in cable and/or network on air marketing departments
• Demonstrates proven experience in content conception and crafting compelling promotional messages to different demographics in all forms of media, such as broadcast, online, social media and print.**

• Shines with a 'can do' positive attitude and loves collaborating with multiple stakeholders
• Isn't afraid to think outside the box and be creative
• Totally gets the social and digital landscape
• Has knowledge of current post-production tools and processes and knows their way around an edit bay
• Is a self-starter and strong team player who can work independently and responsibly.
• Monitors timelines and adjusts work as needed to achieve incredible success.
• Is a strong spoken/written communicator with the ability to develop creative, clear, and concise storytelling for a variety of audiences
• Has excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments at once.
• Can negotiate, strategize and coordinate people and processes.
