The VP Programming, International role will perform a range of duties related to the daily programming operations efforts of the Scripps Networks International division. VP's focus will be the to lead the communications efforts of the US business to regional teams and vice versa – as well as managing the catalogue of long-form content for the international division. A key area of responsibility will also be to craft and own, pro-active, positive working relationships with internal and external third party clients.

What will you be doing?
This position will be part of the Scripps Networks International Content and Brand Strategy Department, which provides our international offices with Programming, Marketing, Creative Services, Communications, Digital and Research foundational support. • Primary conduit between US and International programming teams: responsible for covering all US brands and International channels (O&Os, JVs, etc.)
• Develop and maintain relationships with the production, development and programming groups in all US networks to foster a better understanding of International – with the ultimate goal of helping to beget a more useful product for SNI's international networks
• Represent International at greenlight and key network meetings; sponsor International's needs as appropriate
• Organize schedule of meaningful touchpoints between US, HQ and regional teams (quarterly meetings and annual summit)
• Constantly inform and involve regional teams on key projects throughout all stages of pipeline with goal of maximizing value for International teams in strict coordination with director of content operations and distribution
• Authority and expertise on all SNI content (both US pipeline and international commissions); authority on content trends around the world; make recommendations as such
• Manages US content pipeline (current and in development), programming strategies, scheduling strategies (including premiere dates, schedule changes, terminated programs for all US networks) on behalf of International; communicates this information to all regional, program syndication and JV stakeholders
• Identifies and collaborates with programming teams globally to maximize regional programming opportunities including international and local commissioning efforts

What do you need to have?
• Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
• A minimum of 10 years of related experience

• Strong knowledge and proficiency in the art of programming strategy and scheduling

• Proficient working with Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of production file specs, sizes and formats a plus
