Job Description:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Conduct needs and solution analysis for key control activities for International regions.
• Develop, design and facilitate quarterly key control activities, including distribution and analysis of documentation.
• Partner with International Business Affairs, Finance management and other International programming and scheduling management to identify and resolve contract and license agreement issues.
• Review and analyze deal memos, contracts and intercompany licensing agreements for global content cost activity. Make recommendations as needed.
• Oversee staff regarding input and maintenance of cost data in accounting database.
• Record month end journal entries, including changes in balance sheet activity, related amortization expense, revenue and intercompany eliminations.
• Prepare account reconciliations and quarterly consolidation schedules, including intercompany activity and eliminations.
• Advise and support International financial planning & analysis team with annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Assist Director and manager on other projects and analyses as assigned.
What do you need to have?
• Bachelor of Science in Accounting from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
In addition, we would like to have:
• 1 year of corporate, international accounting experience.
• Cable network or media accounting experience.
• Strong Excel and database experience.
• Knowledge of foreign currency and international accounting practices.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting complex contractual documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with all levels within the organization, including upper management.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Strong team orientation and collaborative acumen.
