We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our New York Brand Finance team. You will be responsible for aggregating, analyzing and reporting, budgets and forecasts in partnership with the Programming, Research, Digital and Marketing groups. This role will prepare analysis and presentation materials across six Networks – HGTV, Food, Travel and 3 Diginet's.
Job Description:
What you will be doing:
• Design, develop, and maintain ad hoc analysis for Financial Reporting, and Business Operations
• Provide consultative direction and input to the business through continued in-depth understanding of business operations & processes
• Obtain and utilize individual inputs from multiple sources and processes- i.e. Meetings with departments and Corporate, systems interfaces with: Asset Mgmt, A/P, G/L, P/R
• Analyze and create Financial Plans and Estimates in Hyperion
• Prepare consolidated reporting and analysis for SNI Networks
• Utilize multiple financial systems, homegrown and packages such as Peoplesoft and Hyperion
• Provide accurate and timely and analysis of information for strategic and operational decisions
• Prepare annual budgets, along with monthly and quarterly reporting
• Create financial models of ''what if'' scenarios for future business planning
• Participate in special projects as assigned
What you must have:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Media or Digital Finance
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics from an accredited institution
What we would like you to have:
• Background in FP&A
• Experience in creating financial and other data models
• CPA or MBA preferred but not required; If no CPA or MBA, eligibility to pursue further certification i.e. CMA, CFA is preferred
• Ability to work independently as well as working collaboratively with team members across the organization and prioritize multiple deliverables with competing deadlines
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
• Attention to detail and accuracy as well as strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to foster positive working relationships across the organization
