Full Time Job
Develops proposals and presentations to address priorities and preferences of assigned market segments or specific advertising customers. Develops account specific materials to assist account executives in closing sales. Conducts analyses to determine the best advertising inventory to include in proposal to maximize revenue. Suggests appropriate program mixes to enhance revenues. Assists in the analysis and creation of advertising rates. Researches and provides market intelligence to enhance decision making and competitive advantage.
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
• Stewards liabilities of proposals on a daily basis, evaluating issues, suggesting make good and obtaining client / agency approval
• Researches and monitors the resolution of invoicing discrepancies
• Monitors and reports on campaign performance
• Collects and reports on ratings, sell-through categories and incumbency data
• Supports negotiations by providing alternative inventory and pricing to meet customer requirements
• May propose ways to use unused inventory and participates in developing new sales packages for clients
• Assists on new and innovative projects and initiatives
Education & Experience
• BS/BA in related discipline and 0-2 years of experience in related field - OR -
• MS/MA/MBA or other graduate degree and 0-1 year of experience in related field
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
• Demonstrates proficiency in and working knowledge of relevant professional concepts and related processes
• Applies fundamental functional/technical and business knowledge typically gained through formal education to deliver assigned work
• Seeks guidance on new or unfamiliar tasks
• Keeps others informed of workload, timeline, and resources needed to accomplish tasks
Computer/Technical
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of computer software
Other
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
• Strong organizational skills with ability to act independently and responsibly
• Capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work collaboratively with team members
• Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups
• Employees will also perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Work Environment
• Frequently sits at a computer terminal and desk
• Frequently walks to other areas within or outside of the department to distribute or gather information
• Occasional standing; occasional lifting moderate loads up to 25 lbs. ; frequent bending
• Stooping, crouching while filing; occasional reaching, twisting, turning
• Frequent handling of files, pencils, paper; frequent keyboarding, writing and other duties
• Continuous hearing
• Use of near/midrange/far vision, and speaking to disseminate information
