Full Time Job
The Manager, Digital Ad Sales Marketing will take the lead in the development of a cross-category digital sales tool kit. This tool kit will be built from an insights driven sales strategy, requiring regular interaction with research, digital sales and marketing groups.
Secondarily, this role will include working with the Travel ASM and digital sales team developing ideas and managing activations for larger budget advertisers coming to TravelChannel.com (baseline $250 ).
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the creation of sales materials that identify specific audience segments and connect them to digital media insights and stories.
• Maintain regular interaction with the research team to analyze data and develop key insights.
• Design and develop sales presentation slides in PowerPoint (and Keynote as needed) that represent specific segments across Food, Home, Travel categories pre-determined by the marketing and sales organization
• Manage the digital sales toolkit and train sales teams as to how and when to use it.
• Work directly with the sales organization and clients directly as needed
• Work with the digital editorial team on Travel Channel as well as on-air ASM team to produce digital sales materials for Travel Channel, both grab-and-go opportunities and custom ideation for programs $250k
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent project management skills with an ability to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines, and multi-task.
• Exceptional proposal writing and presentation skills with a background generating multi-platform, integrated programs.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, but also collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Graphic design and presentation skills (must be proficient in Keynote, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and track multiple project tasks and performance.
• Strong quantitative analysis skills, including skills in interpretation of research data; familiar with research tools including Simmons, MRI, Mintel, and panel data highly preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
• Standard office environment. Sedentary work. Travel required (less than 10%).
Educational and Experience Requirements
• Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline (or equivalent experience) and at least 3 years of experience in Digital Marketing, Content or Social Media.
