Full Time Paid Internship
The Interactive Ad Sales Marketing (iASM) intern will work closely with the Digital iASM team to develop and manage the cross-category sales toolkit. The intern will get hands-on experience in digital marketing, sales and presentation development. The intern's main responsibility will be assisting the iASM manager in the design and development of the sales toolkit and associated administrative duties. The successful candidate should be someone with experience in creative presentation development and writing including, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator etc.) and have a general knowledge of graphic design and presentation development.
Job Description:
This summer internship will begin on or after June 5, 2017 and end on or before August 25, 2017.
Anticipated hours per week: 40
Internship Qualifications
• Intern must be a rising or current junior, rising or current senior, graduate student, or recent graduate (within 6 months of graduation date) at an accredited college/university.
• Applicants must have completed their sophomore year prior to the start of the internship.
• Must have previous internship experience and/or participated in college clubs/organizations, and/or in-depth coursework in a related field
• Legally eligible to work in the United States. Scripps Networks is unable to sponsor visas for interns. If you are an international student not already studying in the U.S. on an F-1 or J-1 visa, then you have to go through a university or an outside organization (internship placement agency) that will sponsor your visa.
• Must have strong oral and written communications skills, as well as exceptional organization and planning skills
• You must include your anticipated graduation
• Must have an interest in the media and television industries
Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with the Digital iASM team to develop cross-category sales presentations and toolkit.
• Collaborate with the iASM and the digital research teams to develop presentations based on key audience segments across the Food, Home, and Travel categories
• Design and develop presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint based on these ideas, using the sales template.
• Design and create new sales toolkit materials in PowerPoint including digital product one-sheets, programming one-sheets, talent one-sheets, product one-sheets, and brand one-sheets
• Create sales training materials to support the toolkit
• Work with iASM managers to develop pre and post-sale materials (including activation documents, attending meetings to take notes and send recaps, gathering social followings/stats, researching advertisers, etc.)
• Participate in client brainstorms for advertiser campaigns
• Work with iASM to ideate, execute, and distribute the summer premiums for Food, Home and Travel within the allocated budget
Preferred
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Experience working with market research and analytics tool a plus
