Scripps Networks Interactive is currently seeking an Administrative Specialist for two SVP's in our Human Resources department. A successful candidate will be confident, organized and accountable with strong project management and problem solving skills. This is a great opportunity for a professional looking for a position to jump start his/her human resources career.
Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain, manage and oversee the schedules for two senior vice presidents with a focus on scheduling, meeting and travel coordination
• Co-ordinate all aspects of meeting planning including scheduling, booking conference rooms, ordering food/beverages, securing presentation materials, greeting guests, arranging transportation, disseminating information etc.
• Support the development and editing of presentations using MS PowerPoint, as directed
• Process and track departmental invoices to ensure adherence to department budget
• Prepare and submit expense reports for vice presidents, as needed
• Manage the flow of all internal and external correspondence on behalf of the department-answering/placing phone calls, prioritizing e-mails, and drafting/sending written correspondences.
• Gather, draft and distribute monthly status updates from team in a timely manner
• Order premiums, holiday gifts and co-ordinate department mailings
• Serve as key coordination source for the management of ongoing projects, as directed
• Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, written form, e-mail, or in person
REQUIRMENTS:
• Bachelor or Associate's Degree
• At least three years of work experience in a fast-paced office environment
• At least two years of work experience as an administrative assistant to an executive
• Proven proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
