Job Description:
Portfolio Marketing
• Key player in Upfront Planning - creative strategy and direction, messaging, general presentation centralization and talent relations
• Develop and maintains trade relations inclusive of opportunity assessment, campaign management and sponsorship deliverables for industry/client events such as, Advertising Week, Association of National Advertisers (ANA), Consumer Electronic Show (CES), and various others.
• Manage internal and external presentations and panels – agenda development, crafting messaging, securing/briefing talent and C-suite executives, including Annual Ad Sales Meeting & Awards and agency presentations
• Oversee master calendar of all industry and regional events for ad sales (TV digital), overseeing flow of information
• Collaborate with Trade and Consumer PR teams to generate press for ad sales initiatives
• Work with brand ASM teams on industry awards submission process.
• Maintain ongoing dialog with Ad Sales Reps, Programming, Branding and CD&M to stay current on issues.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices to enhance meeting and thought-leadership quality.
Food Category
• Collaborate with management in National Ad Sales and Ad Sales Marketing (ASM) to establish ad sales communication strategy and positioning.
• Drive the Ground Presentation from development to launch assuring synergies across Scripps Portfolio. Lead the Strategy with ASM VPs and Heads of Sales, Message Hierarchy Workshops, and PowerPoint Development, Sales Training.
• Drive development and execution of promotional tactics and network materials including programming sizzles, recap and sponsorship decks.
• Oversee ad sales client entertaining events and experimental sponsor activations:
NY (Oct) and SOBE (Feb) Wine and Food Festivals, Chicago Baconfest (March), LA Beach Event (August), Cookies and Cocktails (Dec), Custom Client Events; Food Network Kitchen Client Events
• Collaborate with internal press, marketing and research and agency teams on B2B marketing and event efforts.
• Drive strategic B2B marketing (internal and external communication) promotions and trade advertising (traditional and non-traditional) including ad sales websites.
Travel and Home Category:
• Collaborate with National Ad Sales and Ad Sales Marketing management (ASM) teams to establish and implement an upfront positioning that aligns with the Scripps Portfolio while maintaining individual brand identity and uniqueness.
• Collaborate with National Ad Sales Marketing to develop broader communication strategy based on set positioning.
• Work in line with on-the-ground brand experts, for development and execution of promotional tactics and network materials including programming sizzles, recap and sponsorship decks.
• Work in line with on-the-ground brand experts to manage development of all upfront marketing deliverables, including but not limited to Ground Level Presentation (PowerPoint and videos), B2B site, Trade Marketing campaigns and sales events.
• Work in line with on-the-ground brand experts to evolve and maintain ad sales communication platforms and deliverables throughout the year leading into Broadcast Upfront.
• Work in line with on-the-ground brand experts to develop ad sales client entertaining events and experimental sponsor activations:

• Work requires significant local travel and may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work.
