Scripps Networks Interactive, the leader in lifestyle media with top brands such as HGTV, Food Network, and Travel Channel, is searching for an Associate Writer/Producer, Special Projects in New York, NY to join our Creative Services team.
The new team member will project manage, conceptualize, write and produce co-branded integrated short form content, custom shoots, billboards, sizzle reels, and other special projects to support Food Network and Cooking Channel.
Job Description:
What you will be doing:
o Work collaboratively with clients, such as On-air and Digital Ad Sales Marketing Teams, to identify conceptualize and execute projects that meet both network and client goals, while maintaining brand integrity
o Copy and script writing for billboards and franchise short forms
o Screen and compile footage for edits
o Produce sizzle reels for ad sales, press needs, and affiliates
o Work with in-house design team on graphic needs
o Set-up and execute post-production schedules
o Manage and help direct third party vendors
o Up to 25 % of travel will be required
What you need to have:
o Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
o Minimum of 2 years experience in linear TV
It's a plus if you have:
o Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting, Journalism, or related field from an accredited institution
o Positive attitude and great sense of humor
o Ability to roll with the punches and adapt as priorities change
o Ability to work well with others (team player!) and come up with creative solutions
o Excitement and genuine interest in the Food World and Food programming
o Experience in overseeing video editing and music/audio design
o The ability to juggle numerous responsibilities under tight deadlines
o Develop and maintain production schedules across all mediums
o Basic knowledge of non-linear editing
o Ability to work in collaboration with marketing and digital teams
o Organization and time management skills
o Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records
