Seeking strong sales development and direct sale candidate who is self-motivated and well-rounded. The Associate Account Executive will be primarily responsible during their first 9-12 months on the job with sales development efforts for the cross-Scripps team, including: working closely with the TV and Digital ad sales research teams to analyze client prospect media spending, competitive media companies and cross-Scripps attributes, working with ASM to develop and follow up on cross-Scripps initiatives and working closely with other company departments including CDM as needed. We are looking for someone who can help us develop and sell the story of SNI to clients across a range from big to small, particularly accounts where SNI has a low share of the client's media spend. The job will also include prospecting leads, attending trade shows and developing cross-Scripps prospects across the country. The AAE will ultimately be assigned specific accounts in addition.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Works with other company departments to develop cross-Scripps initiatives and then work with cross-Scripps sales to follow them through execution
• Has a high level of ability to collaborate internally and get things done to contribute to and advance sales processes
• An ability to think out of the box in assembling Scripps assets to accomplish client goals
• Treats the effort like entrepreneurial business with an effort to increase every client's SNI spend
• Works with customers to sell the benefits and features of new advertising programs and products
• Accountable for servicing assigned accounts
• Works independently on moderately complex projects/assignments
• Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance on unusual, complex problems or issues
Education
& Experience
• BS/BA in related discipline and 2-5 years of experience in related field - OR -
• MS/MA/MBA or other graduate degree and 2-4 year of experience in related field
• Knowledge Skills & Abilities
• May need to work with multiple company departments on certain efforts
Computer/Technical
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of computer software
• Proficient in using media research tools, including Nielsen, Comscore, MRI and others
Other
• Very strong attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
• Works at a high energy level and prioritizes follow-up
• Interested in understanding ''the whole business'', from research to creative to project execution to project follow-up
• Ability to act independently and responsibly and ethically
• Capacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to work collaboratively with team members
