Scripps Networks Interactive, the leader in lifestyle media with top brands such as HGTV, Food Network, and Travel Channel, is looking for an Executive Administrative Assistant to support our Chief Information Officer. In this role you will provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings or travel. May also train and supervise lower-level clerical staff.
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain executives' schedules
• Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork
• Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and/or presentation software
• Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports in order to determine their significance and plan their distribution
• Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
• File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports
• Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals.
• Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries
• Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work
• Prepare agendas and make arrangements for committee, board, and other meetings.
• Make travel arrangements for executives
• Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person
• Ability to establish and maintaining interpersonal relationships
Education
& Experience
• BS/BA in related discipline and 5 years minimum experience in related field - OR -
• MS/MA/MBA or other graduate degree and at least 3 years of experience in related field
• Certification is required in some areas
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of MS and Apple, Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, and Keynote is preferred
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
• Organization and time Management skills
• Critical Thinking skills
• Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
