The Opportunity: Don La Fontaine Voice Over Lab Administrator
Reporting to the Director of Facilities and IT, the Administrator of the Don La Fontaine Voice Over Lab (VOL) is responsible for all aspects of the VOL including: scheduling use of the facility, managing the facility as a result of having familiarity with the use of recording studio hardware and software, and addressing all concerns related to the VOL, while acting as an ambassador for the VOL to the community of actors to be served.
Primary Duties:
This section provides a general summary of the most significant job duties performed. It does not explain in detail every single duty performed.
•Maintain strong working relationships with voice over professionals/instructors.
•Schedule use of the facility for actors and voice over professionals.
•Interact with VOL users.
•Give tours of the facility.
•Field all calls related to VOL Events.
•Help conduct and oversee required orientation for people wanting to use the VOL and, in particular, the Lab’s solo booth.
•Promote and schedule rental usage of the VOL.
•Maintain a list of free-lance engineers available to work in the VOL.

• None
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Act as ambassador for the VOL with a clear understanding of its mission, guidelines and goals as it represents the person for whom it was named, Don La Fontaine.
•Demonstrate a good understanding of the voice-over community.
•Prior experience with the use of Facebook and Twitter accounts and an understanding of social media marketing.
•Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented.
•Able to work in a high paced environment.
•Able to organize and coordinate multiple tasks under deadlines.
•Demonstrated knowledge of recording equipment hardware/software and its use, with technical know-how and ability to perform mechanical repairs a plus.
•Superlative interpersonal skills—must be able to cultivate strategic and collaborative relationships internally and externally.
•Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG Foundation’s sole discretion.
•Must be available and willing to work such overtime or extended hours per day or per week as SAG Foundation determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience and extensive knowledge relating to the use of recording studio hardware and software. |
