Director of Grants and Gifts

This is a Full Time Job

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

•The coordination, research, writing, and submission of all private and public grant applications and the resultant grant compliance reports.
•Assisting program staff with research relevant to new and/or modified proposal development.
•Assisting the Director of Strategic Partnerships with prospect research used for the identification of annual major gift donors, planned giving donors and their gift potential.
•Providing staff support to board fundraising efforts and other development activities.
•Processing and acknowledging all donations in a timely fashion.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•Knowledge and experience working within a philanthropic community of donor organizations.
•Excellent time management skills with the ability to track and meet deadlines.
•Excellent research, writing, grammar, spelling and proofreading skills.
•Ability to work on multiple projects at once and juggle priorities.
•Ability to write and work under time pressure.
•Computer and internet literate.
•Ability to tactfully perform an array of complex and specialized duties.
•Ability to be flexible, work independently, and be a self-starter.
•Ability to work as part of a team and relate well with co-workers, board members, volunteers, and the general public.
•Knowledge of Patron Manager, Salesforce or other similar CRM
•Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG Foundation’s sole discretion.
•Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the SAG Foundation determines is necessary or desirable to meet its fundraising needs.


Qualifications
Degree in a related field preferred.
5-7 years of experience responding to the requirements of and successfully securing funding and grants
