The Opportunity: Director of Facilities and IT
The Director of Facilities and IT will provide leadership and direction to the SAG Foundation’s Facilities and IT Departments to ensure excellent service for members and staff and ensure that the Voice Over Lab, Actor’s Center and Administrative Office equipment and facilities are functioning at optimal levels.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Provide leadership and direction to the SAG Foundation facilities and IT groups, which include the Voice Over Lab, the Actor’s Center and IT.
•Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for technology implementations.
•Manage ongoing relationship with IT consultant
•Keep current with the latest technologies.
•Manages assets for IT hardware, software and equipment.
•Establish and maintain regular communications with the Foundation’s end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
•Oversee processes and procedures for all Foundation facilities, and continuously assess for improvements.
•Strategize and evaluate organizational space planning needs and manage in-house moves.
•Assess needs and analyze costs for budget management and implementation.
•Collaborate with the Foundation leadership team in strategizing, developing and implementing operational efficiencies.
•Oversee facilities purchasing processes. Conduct a periodic review to insure optimal pricing and best business practices.
•Oversee construction initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
•Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for goods and services to the Foundation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the Actors Center Director, VOL Administrator, Website Administrator, Computer Room Administrator/Volunteer Coordinator.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
•Advanced level of management experience and demonstrated leadership skills required to effectively manage all facilities staff.
•Able to effectively work in a high profile organization with diplomacy and tact.
•Responsible; self-directed; pro-active; excellent follow-through
•Creative problem solver
•Able to organize and prioritize multiple projects
•Experience with the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and office equipment.
•Must be able to work in a collaborative environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged
•Responsible for fulfilling the Foundation’s technical needs and requirements.
•Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG Foundation’s sole discretion
•Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the SAG Foundation determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
6-8 years of facilities management (5 years in a supervisory position)
Experience managing multiple facilities
