School of Style, a boutique fashion school for stylists, is looking for a smart, driven and organized individual to assist with day-to-day operations in our LA office. You will be working directly with School of Style CEO, Luke Storey and School of Style Co-Founder, Personal Stylist, Lauren Messiah.
The selected candidate(s) will receive hands-on experience working for a start-up company and an opportunity to grow with the organization. Interns will also get a glimpse into the exciting world of fashion through our courses and through assisting on the day-to-day tasks related to various styling jobs.
Internship description and expectations include:
Editorial:
Expectations
• Editorial projects: Curating content, editorial brainstorms, slideshows, content, researching & pitching stories.
• General assistance: Drafting communication, pulling lists, reviewing bloggers, maintaining database
• Data entry & research
Requirements
• Strong knowledge and interest of fashion as well as experience writing fashion
• Excellent phone and communication skills
• Computer savvy
• Enthusiastic, hard working, & detail-oriented!
• Dependable, punctual, and a great attitude
• Reliable transportation
Social Media:
Expectations
• Ongoing Projects: Manage and track samples for styling jobs
• Administrative work
• Organizing studio, coordinating pick-ups and drop-offs, checking-in and preparing samples for stylists
• Blogging for the School of Style blog
• Maintain social media outlets including: Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instragram, YouTube
• Conduct media outreach to influential bloggers
• Participate in company brainstorming sessions on marketing initiatives
Requirements
• Interest in fashion
• Highly organized and dependable
• Computer savvy
• Must be able to take initiative and work independently
• Experience in blogging and social media
• Working knowledge of WordPress and HTML
• Reliable transportation
Fashion Office:
Expectations
• Work closely with the founders of the company (in various aspects of running a startup)
• You will gain hands on experience in all departments on a daily basis (sales, accounting, etc.)
• Administrative work
• Ongoing office projects
• Data entry & research
• Organizing studio, coordinating pick-ups and drop-offs, checking-in and preparing samples for stylists
• Manage and track samples for styling jobs
Requirements
• Highly organized and dependable
• Interest in learning the business side of fashion
• Excellent phone and communication skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office
• Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
• Punctuality a must
• Reliable transportation
