Job Title: Video Production Manager
Department: IT & Production
Reports To: Director of IT & Production
FLSA Status: Salaried/Exempt
SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Video Production Manager at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Video Production Manager reports to the Director of IT & Production. Ideal candidate is a highly technical individual that specializes in professional video and audio engineering signal distribution, imaging technologies and staff management. The position requires proficiency in fundamental technologies used in modern broadcast operations. Responsible for reception and distribution of audio and video services, including installation, operation and maintenance of equipment associated with the head-end and signal transmission network. The production manager provides game day services and support for all events inducing NFL and NBA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and oversee all video and audio production for large-scale live events including NFL and NBA beginning with pre-production through post production activities.
• Organize and assign production responsibilities.
• Coordinate with management team to ensure all goals are met for each event.
• Serve as the lead technician and works with on-site operations staff to secure equipment and set-up
• Administer and troubleshoots any and all technical issues/challenges on-site.
• Monitor video and audio quality of services delivered.
• Maintain video operating head-end including researching and repair.
• Interface with clients and members of SMG management.
• Schedule and perform maintenance.
• Recommend and prepare specifications for equipment.
• Document and maintain records and logs of all equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must have previous experience with live, sporting and concert video production.
• Must have previous experience managing technical staff.
• Must demonstrate technical knowledge of video and audio equipment.
• Must have experience and working knowledge of the following equipment: Ross Vision and Carbonite Switches, Click Effects Crossfire and Blaze, Daktronics VPlay, EVS stadium solution equipment, Clear-Com intercom equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Five years work experience in head-end maintenance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends and holidays as necessary
