JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking to expand our team with a new booking agent. The Agent must be an excellent salesperson with a passion for live events and entertainment.
What we are looking for: The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, strong communication skills, confidence, and drive. The people who will excel at this position know how to hustle, have a good personality and are quick thinkers. Prior booking and sales experience and a keen understanding of current events, politics, technology, business, and pop culture is required.
We consider ourselves a family, and are looking to expand with someone who can join and take part in the success of SME. This a fun and exciting place to work if you fit these requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must possess the following attributes:
• 3+ years of sales experience (candidates with talent agency experience preferred).
• A career history of negotiating and closing deals.
• Proactive in driving new revenue, increasing client base, and selling corporate entertainment.
• Strong work ethic and ambitious.
• Must be able to build relationships and trust on phone and in-person, open and close sales, and be thorough with follow-up and follow-through.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extremely organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
• A bachelors or advanced degree.
** Do Not apply unless you have at least 3 years of sales experience in a full-time position or multiple years experience at a top talent agency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of the position include:
• This position is directly responsible for acquiring new leads and acquiring new clients.
• Collaborating with a team to meet competitive sales goals and quotas.
• Extensive cold calling.
• Research new speakers, authors, thought leaders, musical and entertainment acts to provide the freshest and most relevant information for clients.
• Tracking and reporting key performance metrics.
• Travel when Necessary.
• Reports to President.
