The DCTech Lead will oversee all aspects of the DCTech Team - in terms of overseeing processes, training, coordinating and troubleshooting. This position requires the individual to be very familiar working in a PC-based, detail-oriented, time-sensitive environment with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word.
Must be able to follow guidelines, to identify exceptions, and be able to troubleshoot and have the resourcefulness to come up with viable solutions. This position will work directly the RDC Supervisor to monitor and mentor DCTech employees, with the objective of achieving efficiency, consistency, quality and successful workflows. This position requires one to have the ability to multitask, excellent communication (written and oral), work well under deadlines, strong organizational skills, the ability to problem solve and an eye for detail. The primary responsibilities of the DCTech Lead include, but are not limited to the following:
-Oversees all aspects of downloads and conversions of all files in an efficient and timely fashion
-Oversees all DCTech tasks to ensure they are implemented efficiently and accurately, and quick to jump-in and fix problems as they arise
-Makes recommendations for new workflows, scheduling improvements and TrakIt functionalities
-Provides regular feedback to DCTech members with a focus on quality, consistency and accuracy
-Actively trains resources
-Regularly reviews and adjusts DCTech guidelines, macros and procedures as needed
-Works in an efficient manner with the highest sensitivity to Production's needs and deadlines
-Understands and works efficiently within the company proprietary subtitling software and project tracking tool
-Assists with any necessary activities for the Production Department, such as reformats, offsets, conversions, file prepping, technical quality checks, scheduling, etc when required
-Performing other related duties, as assigned
-Adhere to company policies and procedures
-Must work overtime and weekends when needed
-Adheres to full-time schedule and overtime requirements
The DCTech Lead will work closely with the RDC Supervisor and Production to ensure all downloads and conversions are being created accurately, consistently and in a timely manner.
The candidate should be able to present information in a clear, concise manner and be able to follow up on questions and discussions. They must be able to recognize potential inconsistencies and confusion, and take steps to avoid them in the future.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
-Associate degree in Computer Science or
-Web design experience
-Proficient in Microsoft Word with the ability to utilize wild cards and macros
-Experience and/or familiarity with subtitles/time codes/frame rates is a plus
-Extremely detail-oriented, shows initiative, is organized, and able to work and communicate in a professional manner
-Ability to actively problem solve practical issues and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
-A strong background and understanding of directory structure and file organization
-Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and expectations
