Full Time Job
This role drafts, translates, proofs and performs a range of quality control tests to ensure accurate, timely and high-quality content translations are created for iTunes at SDI Media USA. This position coordinates directly and frequently with the client to understand projects, content needed and how to deliver work which meets the client specifications. As such, this role requires strong communication and linguistic skills in order to craft translations that will resonate culturally within the region they are posted in.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Translate and proof writing samples, content and other documents to produce consistent, high-quality content for regional release.
Draft original writing in territory language for in-territory marketing campaigns/promotions.
Offer and suggest feedback, updates or corrections on linguistic or cultural appropriateness for in-territory marketing campaigns/promotions.
Adapt content created or translated adhering to all special instructions to meet client- and language-specific protocols.
Communicate problems/issues/developments effectively to supervisor, peers, and/or internal staff as needed following a chain of command.
Respond to client requests with a sense of urgency always working to further develop rapport to enhance and build the relationship with the client.
Strategize on ways to grow the business with the client by offering suggestions to known challenges or issues which might arise.
Establish strong communication with the client based on their preferred manner of connecting and the frequency of connecting.
Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, glossaries etc. for iTunes-specific language and territory work.
Train other personnel to provide back-up coverage for vacation, leave, or as needed.
Maintain/update client contact information.
Assist with special projects on an as-needed basis.
Communicate with client and internal contacts in target language whenever necessary.
Complete other duties as assigned.

Adheres to the specific schedule.
Must work overtime and weekends when needed.

Qualifications and Experience
Native command of French Canadian, including slang and colloquial expressions.
Display native cultural fluency in all aspects Quebecois culture.
Excellent computer skills; Apple proficient; Numbers and/or Excel experience a plus.
Bachelor's degree required in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Translation/Linguistics or in a related field (attendance of high school and university in territory highly preferred).
Client-facing work experience in territory highly desired.
Previous experience in dealing with media production/post-production and/or localization desired.
