Full Time Job
The Digital Asset Specialist provides support for digital and physical asset workflows, tagging and organizing of digital and physical assets. The position will be responsible for the delivery of media, uploading assets, troubleshooting failed imports, updating metadata and general asset library maintenance (both hard and soft). Coordinator responsibilities include communication with client reps or production for projects that must complete on their shift and project validation/scheduling for any same day projects that are entered in Bolt during their shift. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starting individual who can work independently as well as within an established team. A strong background in media operations and coordinating will also be critical to the success of the position.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Facilitate the uploading and downloading of digital assets
Facilitate the shipping and receiving of physical assets
Assign appropriate taxonomy and metadata to assets
Maintain usage rights metadata, including validating accuracy
Maintain SDI file naming conventions and Universal Folder structure protocols
Educate, train and promote the use of the digital asset management system
Communicate with production and client reps
Validate and schedule in Bolt for last minute rush projects entered during the graveyard shift
Support critical and time sensitive requests
Other duties as identified and assigned
Perform general administration duties as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience
1 year experience with a Digital Asset Management system (preferred)
Must be highly computer literate, displaying proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); expertise in Excel and xml preferred; experience with Filemaker Pro preferred
Knowledge of digital file formats
General computer and network knowledge, SQL and database understanding a plus
General understanding of the delivery systems (eg; Aspera), FTP, and FTP applications
High level of computer competency for MAC and Windows XP operating system including system applications (i.e. Command line functions)
Must possess excellent verbal skills, including in-person and telephone, and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills required, with the ability to build credibility and collaborate with associates at all levels
Customer service experience essential, with the ability to manage priorities against tight deadlines
Must be self-motivated, organized and self-managed
Must be able to multitask in a high-volume environment. Attention to detail, organization, and great follow-up skills essential
Must be able to respond to urgent requests in a positive and professional manner
