Full Time Job
POSITION PURPOSE:
To properly research, allocate and process foreign royalty receipts for payment to performers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This section provides a general summary of the most significant job duties performed. It does not explain in detail every single duty performed.
-Process payments for distribution to performers.
-Maintain detailed cash receipts and distribution analysis by territory, by file.
-Quarterly reconciliation to general ledger.
-Prepare Trust deposits and releases.
-Process check reissues.
-Assist in the ongoing enhancement of the foreign royalties tracking and distribution system; identify obstacles, be they mechanical, conceptual or contractual and develop strategies for resolution.
-Utilize Internet, subscription and internal sources to properly identify titles and casts for payment allocations; locate performers for payment distribution.
-Interface with representatives of foreign collection societies and SAG Accounting department; trouble-shooting as necessary.
-Assemble and enter foreign royalty collection society reports to database; utilize research to identify and properly allocate collected foreign royalties.
-Edit and update missing database information.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

-Ability to foresee downstream ramifications of current issues and adjust accordingly.
-Comfortable with calling attention to potential problems and improvements and offering suggestions to supervisor.
-Creative and analytical thinker.
-Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
-Able to use PC applications; ability to accurately type 35 WPM.
-Detail oriented.
-Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines.

-Superlative interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
-Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members.

-Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.
-Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
-Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA's sole discretion.
-Must be available and willing to work extended hours (and/or overtime for applicable non- exempt positions) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
-Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Labor Relations or related discipline preferred.
-5-7 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and work relevant experience.

TESTING REQUIREMENTS:
-Basic skills: spelling, math, grammar and filing - passing score: 76%
-Microsoft Word and Excel tests (basic, intermediate and advanced) - passing score: 76%
-Typing test 35 WPM
-Writing test
